1) Take Your Time - It’s not a Race!
One of the real benefits of learning online is that you can take your time. You might want to become an ITIL Expert as soon as possible, but the best way to do this is to make sure you are fully prepared for each exam.2) Use All the Material Provided
Your online course provides a wealth of learning material – video Lessons, Study Guides, Downloadable Documents, Exercises, Quizzes and access to the Service Operation Core Volume.3) Make Your Own Study Notes
We’ve given you lots of quality, accredited course material. However, studies have shown that just looking at material won’t always guarantee retention of key facts.
4) You’re Not Alone!
Online learning can sometimes be a little lonely – don’t forget you can always raise any clarification points, ask questions or get a second opinion on anything from your ITIL Expert qualified tutor. Simply hover over “HELP” and click on “Contact ITIL Expert Tutor”. We’ll review your email and get back to you the following working day with a quality response. Chances are – we’ve got the solution you’re looking for!
5) Condense the Material
There is a lot to learn in this course – the amount of material can feel quite intimidating!
Start to condense the material down as part of your revision – think about using mind maps, process models (you’ll learn about these in your courses) and flash cards to provide you with ‘at a glance’ information.
6) Get Comfortable with the Syllabus
As each course is released, we’ll add the relevant Syllabus to your Document Download area. Find the syllabus, download and print it.
7) Apply ITIL!
Another one of the benefits of online learning is that you can apply what you learn, as you learn. Take new ideas back to work, discuss them with your colleagues, and initiate improvements.
8) Find Your Learning Style
There are 3 main Learning Styles. Auditory Learners learn through ‘hearing’, Visual Learners learn by ‘seeing’, and Kinaesthetic Learners learn by ‘doing’.
9) Get Everyone Involved
It’s hard on families and colleagues when you’re locked away, studying hard for your exam. Get people involved! Prepare presentations for your colleagues, get your family to quiz you and help you to study.
10) Remember Why You’re Here
The last, and perhaps most important point is – remember why you’re here!
Are you studying to improve your career prospects, find a new position or to improve your performance at work?
